About this event

A graduate of Falmouth School of Art, Dave, enjoys capturing elements of land and seascapes

Part of the Terrace Gallery Collective in Penryn, Dave is an accomplished painter and illustrator who likes pushing the boundaries of his work with a range of unusual techniques. Dave regularly uses acrylic inks & gum arabic, oil paints & cold wax to achieve uniques textures and contrasts within his work. Although only in his studio on a part-time basis at the moment, Dave is working hard to forge a career as a full-time artist.
A big supporter of ‘giving back’ whenever he can, Dave hosts Urban Sketching sessions in and around Penryn once a month and can often be found braving the weather during the annual charity Street Draw event.
Dave will be running a 2hr Gum & Ink workshop on Sunday, June 20th from 1-3pm, £20 (tickets available through The Terrace Gallery). His work will be showcased on the walls of the Terrace Gallery as part of the annual  ‘Residents Exhibition’ alongside his fellow Collective members and he will be working in his studio and happy to chat during the Open Studios event.

Details

The building is old and there is no wheelchair access as there are a couple of high steps to enter the gallery and then studio. There are no toilets available for public use in the building but there are some nearby. Free parking is available outside for 30 mins or in a nearby Permarin cark park every day or Saracens car park on Sunday or after 4 pm.

Directions

Dave's studio is located at the back of the Terrace Gallery. Easy to find the Gallery nestles in the heart of Penryn near the Post Office and opposite the infamous Mariners Chip shop. Free parking outside for 30mins. w3w - admires.overlaid.little
