We’re thrilled to welcome bestselling author and comedy legend Dawn French to Penzance to speak about ENOUGH – Dawn’s most ambitious, darkly funny and deeply human novel yet. ENOUGH tells the story of Etta, a 68-year-old woman, who unexpectedly gathers her family around her to tell them something as shocking as it is alarming: “You see, today is my last day alive.” Over the next twenty-four hours, Etta and her beloveds have the most surprising, affecting and life-affirming day of all their lives.

Dawn French has been making people laugh for forty years. As a writer, comedian and actor, she has appeared in some of this country’s most long-running and celebrated shows, including French and Saunders, The Vicar of Dibley, Jam and Jerusalem and, more recently, Can You Keep a Secret? Her first four novels, A Tiny Bit Marvellous, Oh Dear Silvia, According to YES and Because Of You, are all Sunday Times bestsellers. Dawn lives in Cornwall and is a Patron of The Morrab Library and Chancellor of Falmouth University.

Michael Grandage CBE runs his own highly successful international company (MGC), directing theatre and film in the UK and US. A former pupil of Humphry Davy Grammar School, he lives and works in Penzance and is President of the Morrab Library.
