About this event
Join our resident dress historian Andrea Newell for a talk and Q&A about the making of gloves, the materials used and the purpose they were used for.
She will focus on the glove collection that we hold here at the Museum of Cornish Life giving you chance to see some of the collection that is rarely on display.
You are invited to join in this discussion by bringing along a pair of gloves that have a special significance for you to share with others at this event.
This talk is part of Helston Makes It!, our week-long annual celebration of makers and craft. This year, the festival celebrates the trades and crafts on display in our Meat Market, such as glove making, serpentine turning and woodwork.
