About this event

Vibrant, expressive paintings by established local artist. Near the ancient, iconic fishing village of Mousehole and beautiful coast path to Lamorna.

I will display paintings in my garden studio (mainly oil, but some other media too) influenced by my surroundings and still lives and occasionally the figure. My work is sometimes developed in a more semi/abstract direction to stimulate and discover new relationships of colour and mark, though I often return to the challenge of working from observation. Drawing underpins what I do and I have been influenced by artists such as Ivon Hitchens, Peter Lanyon, Rose Hilton, Matisse, Bonnard, Franz Kline and William de Kooning. Affordable framed and unframed work will be available for you to buy and/or enjoy. My studio overlooks the sea and there is a beautiful coastal path to Lamorna or down to Mousehole nearby.

Parking is available either in my driveway or alongside my entrance. Level access to Studio.

Directions

At Newlyn take B3315 to Lamorna and Porthcurno for 2 miles. 200m after Sheffield fork left to Castallack, Raginnis, 500m turn left to Raginnis and Mousehole. After 500m at Raginnis turn left on unmade road and The Old Dairy studio is second on right.
