About this event

My most recent art works explore inner energy and breath work to connect with the self as part of the making process and our own wellbeing.

I’m making paintings and collages around nature as well as our inner feelings. There will be some large calming work based on breathing, and smaller more vibrant works of leaf and bird studies. I am exploring how we connect with nature and our energy both inside and outdoors.

I’m passionate about relaxing the body to heal the parasympathetic nervous system and how we can go about doing this in our everyday lives. Whilst images are colourful, decorative and beautiful to hang in any interior they come from a deeper understanding of my commitment to wellbeing through the art process.

On request I have poems and guitar music to share too as well as a good old friendly chat with a cup of Rose tea. (Or tea of your choosing!). This space is shared with the ceramicist ‘Lucy Joines’ and the jeweller ‘Laura Drayson’.

I intend to inspire and bring calm and a focus on wellbeing to those who visit this event.
I will be running workshops in the Summer. More details are to be published on my Instagram site.
Please come as I will be delighted to share my paintings and the thought process behind them. Most of my work will be for sale as well as a small book I have published called ‘Heart and Poetry’.

Accessibility

Details

Accessibility to the studio is very good. You can park right up close to the studio, then a slightly sloping concrete path takes you to the studio entrance. There is a raised threshold in the doorway to the studio about 10cm high. Once in the studio it is all on flat level ground and there are armchairs provided to sit on.

Directions

Located near TowanCross on the main coast road between Porthtowan and St.Agnes.A 3 minute drive from Chiverton roundabout on the A30.You are welcome to park on the driveway,or the quiet road by the house,the studio is located at the end of the drive.
