Embroidered prints, notebooks, greeting cards and more created from watercolour paintings and machine embroidery inspired by the Cornish countryside.

I am a Cornwall based textile artist specialising in Cornish themed textile products inspired from the flora and fauna of the beautiful countryside that surrounds me. Flowers have always played an important part within my work and I find I always go back to them when I do occasionally deviate away. I find drawing and painting flowers gives you that freedom of line and colour-no flower is ever the same.

I feel more at one with nature and it makes you appreciate our environment and where we live more, which is something that is so important nowadays. I try and incorporate flowers that are synonymous with Cornwall so there is a deeper connection in my work and has that personal touch.

I primarily work with watercolour paintings which are then scanned into the computer and layered up to create a range of compositions before digitally printed onto fabric to create a selection of products, mixing old techniques with modern technology. I also add free machine embroidery on top of my fabric to create unique framed fabric prints. Lots of bright and cheerful colours!

My products include greeting cards, notecards, embroidered prints, fabric notebooks, mugs, scarves, keyrings, bookmarks and more. Prices start from £2.50.

Trethewey Cottage is situated one mile from the B3293, on the Helford, Manaccan, and St Martin road, at the bottom of St Martin's Hill. Parking available in the driveway.
