About this event
Mellingey Mill Willow Craft Centre is a 10-acre site. I grow many different varieties of willow and make a variety of products along with supplying willow for workshops that I host throughout the year.
Mellingey has a long history with willow crafts. In the last 10 years, it has been restored by myself after being redundant for several years.
We are situated a few miles from Padstow
in a beautiful woodland valley.
I am inspired by nature and my surroundings and very much governed by the seasons this plays a part in the creations I make. My work is mostly based on willow, although sometimes I work with other natural fibres and materials. Willow products include baskets, sculptures and living willow structures. I also offer a variety of seasonal workshops.
I have made many sculptures over the years and worked with ‘Britain in Bloom ’ projects but am probably best known for the rather large family of four Hedgehogs on Trafalgar roundabout in Truro.
Visitors often returned and workshop participants regularly comment on the wonderful experience they have had whilst learning a new skill at the Willow Craft centre. Workshops are available for all ages and abilities private bookings, one to one and group booking available.
I also do talks and demonstrations.
I look forward to welcoming you and sharing my studio space
