About this event

Join us and have a go at a range of FREE activities that celebrate the museums collection.

Activties include:

– Poster Pop Up is our fun craft activity inspired by our fabulous poster collection. We will be experimenting with a variety of print materials and colours . All materials supplied, suitable for all ages.

– LEGO® Learning System with James Scott from nci Technologies – Construct a Lego creature then learn basic coding and make it move!

– One Blue Eye – Meet Matthew Nott the man behind One Blue Eye. He shreds plastic into granulated form and moulds it to create items. Have a go at the hand crank shredder and help to make something new out of our discarded waste.

– Helston as it was, is now and how it might be: A craft activity inspired by shop signs in Helston. Have fun re-designing the town centre with your own shops and businesses, using shop signs for inspiration.

Part of Helston Makes It!, our week-long annual celebration of makers and craft. This year, the festival celebrates the trades and crafts on display in our Meat Market, such as glove making, serpentine turning and woodwork.
