Festive Dec Workshop

Free opportunity to create unique, stitched, festive decorations from fabric scraps with Helen Round

Join Helen in the studio for a lovely opportunity to create your very own, unique and fun, festive decorations.

Using beautiful linen fabrics and sparkly adornments, learn slow stitch techniques like Sashiko and Boro to add interesting surface patterns to your creations with colourful threads.

No experience is necessary – knowing how to thread a needle would be helpful but not essential. Choose from ready made templates or get creative and make your own.

All materials are included, with kind thanks to Fun Palaces and Feast who are kindly sponsoring the materials for this event.

Schedule for the Workshop – after booking, you can drop in anytime 12-3pm. Midday/3pm – Arrive and get settled, explore the materials you are going to use in the workshop and watch Helen demonstrate simple Shibori style running stitches to add pattern to your fabric, then choose your template and start work on your own design.

4pm – By the end of the session, you will have made at least one, slow stitch decoration to take home with you and learnt how to make your own decorations – something which you can continue to do at home on your own and share with others! Due to space, please can we request adults only, with no accompanying children.
