About this event
Come and join us to learn how to make a mini film using only your smart phone, a basic editing app and your imagination. On the 14th of May between 2pm and 5pm we invite you to come and learn how to make a film as part of the Snapshots in Time project.
Each mini film made by attendees of these workshops will be included in a larger film created by Blystra Arts filmmaker Guy Davies, Director Ellen Moule and technician Dave Brown. This longer film, made up of many mini project films will then be shown to the public in June 2022 at our Snapshots in Time final event and we will invite our audience to power this final piece using our pedal powered energy kit. Four bikes and four people will power the projector and screen which shows the film made by the community.
To attend this workshop you will need have a smartphone or tablet with enough space on it to download the required editing app needed to edit films.
This workshop is free and is part of the Snapshots in Time project, funded by Tresorys Kernow, Arts Well CIC and Headstart Kernow, however we only have limited places available, so booking is essential.
To book your place please email [email protected]. This workshop will be run in conjunction with Newquay Heritage Archive and Museum and the Celtic Lounge Café.
This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Community Renewal Fund in Cornwall.
