Penzance LitFest presents: 'Exploring Cornwall's Archives' with Kerra Paternotte

From paying your rent in seagulls to duels in Hyde Park, from books with bullet holes to preaching to a cardboard congregation, archives are full of stories and surprises. Archive assistant at Kresen Kernow – home to Cornwall’s archive – Kerra Paternotte combines her love of a good book with her interest in genealogical research, used by authors, including Daphne du Maurier and Winston Graham, to enrich stories. Explore with Kerra how stories can be pieced together from records and archives, and how to unlock their potential to enliven your own writing projects.
