About this event
FLexercise is a fun and friendly low impact exercise class which will help you to get more active and mobile, improving your health and wellbeing.
The well-established and popular local exercise classes use progressive exercise movements and simple dance steps to music. Everything we do is based on the FLexercise system which was pioneered in the 1930’s by Mary Bagot Stack to energise and strengthen the whole body.
We focus on developing good posture and correct body alignment. Strengthening your muscle groups and encouraging a full range of movement will give you improved fitness, energy and strength. You then become more body aware, and feel taller, stronger and more mobile.
Classes are suitable for participants of all ages, abilities, and shapes, and are taught to music in a fun and friendly environment. No previous dance or exercise experience is needed
With over twenty years of FLexercise teaching, Katy Holmes said “FLexercise really is for everyone – we are ladies of all different ages, shapes, sizes and levels of fitness. We exercise the whole body with movement and simple dance steps. Whatever your level of fitness you can start at your own pace and gradually improve. If you are already active, the class will help you enhance your posture and flexibility. I know you’ll leave the class feeling great and it will give you more energy to take on the day!”
