About this event
Cooking from the ground up. With a wide range of diverse habitats so close to hand at 7th Rise, you’ll soon discover a wonderful array of wild ingredients while you roam our vast landscape. Back at base, using outdoor cooking techniques and your finds from the land, you’ll work together to create a handful of delicious dishes – such as Wild paella or our Forager’s soup served with Cornish cheeses and fresh bread.
We’re lucky to have diverse habitats on site: seashore, woodland, fields and hedgerow and during the day you will be shown how to identify at least a dozen edible plants, flowers, roots and herbs, plus a few inedible ones!
If the weather stays dry, we have a long outdoor dining table and if it rains we have an indoor space available too.
Lunch, equipment, instruction and hot drinks provided – just bring yourselves (and maybe a notebook). We sometimes include meat and fish in the meal; please let us know if you have any dietary requirements and we can plan accordingly.
