Join Ruth Weaver BSc. (Hons) Medical Herbalist on a guided hedgerow herb walk to discover the abundance of natures medicine chest. Learn about how to forage, harvest and use wild medicinal and edible plants to enhance your health as well as how you can interact with our wild flora safely and sustainably throughout the seasons.
Ruth has been practicing as a Medical Herbalist for over 13 years and is passionate about sharing the herbal wisdom to empower people the with knowledge to support their health autonomously through the native, heritage practice of herbalism.
You will be encouraged to use your senses to identify with the plants sensory qualities (aromatic, salty, bitter etc) as this guides as an important identification tool as well as offering a deeper knowledge of the plants medicinal properties.

Details
We will be walking mainly flat-ish pathways with some hills and uneven ground through Newlyn Green and up towards a nearby orchard to look at medicinal herbs that are frequently found growing wild in the Cornish hedges. There are car-parks nearby and toilet facilities at the start.
