About this event
The wonderful du Maurier Fowey festival is running from 9th to 17th May, kicking off with Mad Dog Mcrea in Fowey Church.
Established authors include Michael Morpurgo, Joanne Harris, Alan Johnson, John Suchet, Patrick Galbraith and we are hosting the live recording of ‘Where Politics meets History’ with Iain Dale and Dr Tessa Dunlop.
We celebrate the heritage of Cornwall with Petroc Trelawney, Dr Patrick Newberry, Tim Hubbard and others, and we explore the writing of Daphne Du Maurier, the inspiration behind the festival, in our reading groups.
There are more live music events, we have the amazing Company B, Gigspanner and an ABBA tribute night.
There is also a free lunchtime concert in Fowey church with Truro Senior School musicians.
We have guided walks looking at the influence of the landscape on the writings of Daphne du Maurier, and we explore our shoreline and hedgerows with expert Rachel Lambert.
You can also wander through the Fowey Art Trail and visit the Secret Gardens in Fowey for inspiration, and tea and cake.
We look forward to welcoming you!
