About this event
Just as Heritage Open Days are celebrating 30 years, Kresen Kernow – home to the Archives and Cornish Studies Service – is celebrating its fifth anniversary!
Join us for a celebration of the brave and adventurous men and women who travelled the world in search of work and adventure!
We’ll be opening up our strongrooms once again to discover stories of Cornish people on the theme of Routes – Networks – Connections.
Learn why the Cornish pasty is celebrated in Mexico, the story of a woman travelling on a Packet ship to the Caribbean and much more, shown through the precious documents cared for (and available for everyone to use) at Kresen Kernow.
Dates and times for the tours are:
Saturday 7 September at 10:30am or 2pm
Tuesday 10 September at 10:30am or 2pm
