About this event

Learn to cut glass, design & decorate your own glass coasters - Xmas, floral or patterned designs

A brief introduction to fused glass, followed by hands-on practice cutting simple glass shapes and exploring techniques including painting effects and decal application.

You’ll design and create two unique coasters, choosing from a range of coloured and accessory glass — perfect as gifts, or something special to keep for yourself and be proud of whenever you use them.

Workshops take place in my studio in West Looe, Cornwall, where you’ll learn surrounded by the tools and materials of a working artist and get an insight into the processes behind fused glass art. All tools and materials are included.

Suitable for absolute beginners and those with some prior experience. (Sorry — no children.)

Coasters are fired in my kiln and ready for collection a few days later, or can be posted to you.

Work by myself and other artists is also on display and available to purchase.

Time permitting, you will have the opportunity to make extra coasters at an additional cost of £5 each.
Other workshops are available, including fused glass Christmas decorations.
