About this event
Join us on November 6th at 7pm for a screening at The Acorn in Penzance
Gaza Surf Club is a 2016 documentary film from Little Bridge Pictures, which follows several surfers from Gaza and documents their efforts to surf and survive. The film takes a “day in the life” approach and focuses on some of the characters that make up the Gaza Surf Club community.
Doors will open at 6pm and the event will start at 7pm
The film will be followed by a short update about the situation in Gaza today. Megan from Amos Trust will be talking about life in Gaza today, and Amos Trust’s work in Palestine.
Any funds raised from ticket sales will be donated to Amos Trust’s emergency appeal for Gaza and the West Bank. There will also be a chance to donate on the night.
About Amos Trust
Amos Trust is a small, creative human rights charity. For over 30 years, they have worked with local partners on the ground in Gaza and the West Bank, celebrated Palestinian culture, and campaigned for equal rights and an end to Israel’s apartheid policies.
