About this event

Pipeline Theatre brings you their new show, ‘George and the Drag Queen’: a bittersweet, bonkers cake-mix of the epic and the outlandish, beaten together with the everyday, and the plain silly.

“Pipeline Theatre’s work is deeply human and consistently wonderful. With stories realer than life, characters that demand our deepest empathy, richly subtextual scripts and seamless set design, each one of their shows is worth dropping everything to see.” The Upcoming

A village fête – bunting, cakes, outsize veg, and wasps. Two bantering first-aid volunteers setting up their tent – George, a stand-in Grandpa for Maddy; and Maddy, a stand-in Granddaughter for George. Oh, and one Lebanese Drag Queen – Usman, booked to do the raffle, getting changed in the corner.

In a ‘twist of fête’, their stories entwine with explosive results.
Warning – may contain scenes of empathy and kindness
