About this event

Join us for a 2 hour session learning to throw on a Potter's wheel

Find out how potters at Leach Pottery throw on a wheel and try for yourself. Watch how you use a potter’s wheel as they talk through the process step by step and then have a try yourself. The workshop leader will support you as you experiment with different techniques while also ensuring all participants have time to independently focus on developing their skills.

Workshops are led by one workshop leader and a workshop assistant. Drop-off and pick-up will be at the Museum entrance. Under 18s must be dropped-off and collected by an adult.

In the event of sibling group bookings we will accept a booking for a sibling one year outside of the age bracket for a particular session (e.g. an 11 year old could attend the 12-18 session with an older sibling.)

Details

The workshop will be taking place in Bernard’s Studio. We regret this heritage space is not buggy or wheel chair friendly as it is up a flight of steps. Please contact makewithleach@leachpottery if you wish to take part but can’t use the steps and we will arrange an alternative space for your workshop to take place. Drop-off and pick-up will be at the Museum entrance. Under 18yrs must be collected by an adult. Parking will be available at St John’s in the Field.
