Popular 10-piece band Joey The Lips return to Launceston Town Hall for a Halloween night of hi-energy soul, funk, motown and a bit of rock too! They make the songs they cover their own and whilst soul is still the staple diet, today’s set is very diverse. From a Michael Jackson Medley to Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now.
Pre-Covid they’ve been a busy band , in recent years supporting a stream of well known acts such as UB40, Gabrielle, The Hoosiers, Bananarama, Bob Geldof & The Boomtown Rats, Toyah, The Real Thing and more.
With three high-quality vocalists, effervescent front-man Jonny Finnis, a driving rhythm section and a kicking horn section that won’t stay still for a second this band really do love what they do. Their on-stage energy is infectious and atmospheric. It’s fast, fun and furious – we guarantee you won’t be able to stand still!
