About this event
Join the University of Exeter, Cornwall to explore Black Cornish history through the archives held at Kresen Kernow, and discover how archives have hidden certain histories. We will explore creative ways that we can work together to bring these histories to light and tell these stories of local and national importance.
This event includes a short film screening of a film produced by the charitable anti-racism charity, Black Voices Cornwall, Museum X, and Cornwall Museums Partnership.
This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 7–16 November 2024. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with generous support from Research England, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy. For further information please see beinghumanfestival.org.
