Protect Earth, an environmental charity, invites you to our Open Day in High Wood. Liskeard. Suitable for all the family. Many activities are free including the walks and qigong but donations are welcome. Cash and card accepted.

· 11:30 Guided Nature Walk (1 hour) with our Ecologist. Please wear sturdy footwear.
· 1:00 “Qigong in the Woods” (30 minutes) with Kath Revell, aka Ninja Granny. Gentle, slow, flowing movements that are easy to follow, relaxing and beneficial for health. We will do Tree Qigong and 5 animals Qigong. Suitable for all ages and abilities. Please wear loose comfortable clothes, shoes that are suitable for the woods, and bring some water to drink.
· 1:30 – Guided History Walk (2 Hours – 2 miles) with Brian Oldham – President of Liskeard Old Cornwall Society, a Volunteer at Liskeard & District Museum and author of two books about Liskeard. We’ll follow lanes and bridle ways stopping at several houses and farms for a few minutes’ history on each one. There’s a couple of moderate inclines and the owners of Looe Mills have agreed to let us having a peek at the waterwheel they’re restoring.

Details
The track through the woods is uneven in places but can be used by buggies, and wheelchairs with care. Wheelchair users should contact us at [email protected] in advance and we will arrange to open the gate for them. It is approximately a 15 minute walk to the Open Day site from the gate.
