About this event
A Home for All Seasons tells the story of the timber-framed house in Herefordshire bought by cultural historian Gavin Plumley and his husband. A lyrical celebration of the ancient village of Pembridge and the surrounding landscape, it charts centuries of local customs and characters. As the agricultural year turns round, the book reveals an eerily familiar tale of changing climate, social division, illness and worse. Yet for all its historical sweep, this is an intimate account of making a home.
