About this event
Kick back and enjoy a selection of motivating forest themed films followed by filmmaker Q&A sessions and engaging on stage chats with rainforest conservationists, explorers and tree climbers.
The event will be hosted by Ross Vernon McDonald, who welcomes you along for the home town premier of his film, LAMO AURU – Old Forest, New Lines. An adventure documentary that tells the story of three British professional rock climbers who travel to the rainforest of Papua New Guinea to find and climb some of the worlds tallest and strangest trees. However their climbing goals quickly become secondary to the plight of the indigenous people who are trying to protect their very special forest from corrupt politics and illegal natural resource extraction.
