About this event
Food: A Growing Concern!
Join us to watch the short film by Cornwall Climate Care, ‘Hungry For Change’.
Followed by your chance to find out how local community organisations are coming together to grow food and minimise waste.
In the UK we import nearly half of all our food… and yet waste one-third of it. So it is unsurprising that the food we eat and the way we produce it is responsible for a huge part of our carbon emissions.
We will be joined by local environmental and food and growing focused local groups who will have stalls with information for you to explore.
Following the film members of these groups will form a panel to answer questions raised by the film and stimulate discussions around how the issues may apply to the Bodmin area and how we can as individuals and together get involved in local initiatives to protect and restore our natural resources, eliminate waste and improve food security.
Entry is free but bring some cash for refreshments and delicious cakes provided by the local WI.
