IMS Prussia Cove brings world-class musicians to Cornwall, who give inspirational classical concerts

Founded in 1972, IMS Prussia Cove nurtures and inspires world-class musicians and brings outstanding music to Cornwall, under the Artistic Direction of cellist Steven Isserlis.

Every year, we bring over 250 musicians from across the world to live and work together on a remote stretch of the Cornish coast, for two three-week seminars. These seminars offer extraordinary opportunities to young artists, and nurture an international community of musicians throughout their careers. Our concerts bring world-class music to audiences in Cornwall and across the UK, and our outreach programme inspires young people and communities in Cornwall.

This concert series showcases the work of our Open Chamber Music Seminar, featuring outstanding young artists performing in groups alongside some of our celebrated alumni. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear performances from today’s principal musicians, and vibrant young artists on the brink of their international careers.

The church is in a relatively remote location, with some space for parking on the road near the church, or more nearby parking in the local farm, within 250m. Level access to the main areas of the church. There is a cattle type grid just inside the gate which might need help to get over. Accessible toilets are nearby.
