About this event
Founded by the great Hungarian violinist Sándor Végh in 1970, IMS Prussia Cove nurtures and inspires world-class musicians. The Open Chamber Music seminar is prized for offering emerging artists the unique opportunity to work closely with renowned performers, as they come together to learn in an environment dedicated to musical exploration. The ensembles are put together so that a balance of young players from recent Masterclass seminars work together with more experienced and established musicians. In this way, musicians of all ages are given the opportunity to develop and renew professional relationships, encouraging a spirit of international collaboration.
A wide range of chamber music repertoire is explored every year, including much-loved works as well as more unusual and contemporary pieces. The different programmes are decided each week and are announced on our website a few days before each concert.

Details
Paths around the island are steep, cobbled and uneven with no handrails in some places. There are unguarded edges and steep drops. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to take a wheelchair or pushchair up to the Mount summit and if you are walking, sensible footwear is highly recommended. The concert takes place in the chapel.
