Independent Venue Week Indie night at Old Bakery Studios has been the stuff of legend these past few years. Featuring the very best acts from the South West. Previous sell out shows have featured Moriaty, The Velvet Hands and The Rezner launching them off to national success. BBC Introducing has even broadcast live from one of our IVW Indie Nights! This year sees the torch being carried by an eclectic mix of truly excellent talent; The Scribes, Flowers of Palo, S.M.A.C.K and Factor 50.

Headliners The Scribes have been described as “The UK’s hottest Hip Hop act” by 24/7 Magazine, 5/5 by Venue Magazine and won more awards than you can shake the proverbial stick at. They’ve already wowed us at Old Bakery Studios and we are sooooo looking forward to them returning.

According to Clunk Magazine on Falmouth based Flowers of Palo, they are; “Influenced by the likes of Wolf Alice, Mac Demarco and The Smiths, their music is the ultimate indie rock you need in your life”. S.M.A.C.K are another Cornwall originated band now based in Bath and Bristol. They blew everyone away when they opened for the sell out Rezner/Velvet Hands gig in September 2021 and that’s why they are on the bill now. Highly recommended!

Falmouth based Factor 50 are this year’s new hot number down in Cornwall. An esoteric mix of punk, jazz, and general musical weirdness. We saw them at their recent high octane performance supporting The Rezner in Newquay. Amazing, nuff said, they were on our bill. Not to be missed, be warned, if you do you will probably live the remainder of your life being told by your friends what a legendary performance you missed. We are only trying to help!
