About this event
Michael’s inspiration of trees as a natural art form arose from his desire to let the material used be the focus of the sculptures.
Primarily using the stunning landscape and dramatic coastline of the South West, the trees are handmade from hundreds of individual strands of wire twisted together, running from roots to leaves and mounted on responsibly sourced seasoned wood, rock, stone, slate and ceramics.
He also undertakes commissions from private clients, this can be one of the most satisfying ways of acquiring a stunning piece of art from any tree design, style and base customised to suit your requirements. Michael has rapidly gained a reputation for creating work which exceeds clients expectations.
Wire tree sculptures also make a unique gift for that very special occasion, birthday, wedding or anniversary.
During the event, Michael will be available to take visitors through the whole process from the tree design to finished sculpture. Trees will also be available to purchase directly from the studio.
