About this event
Join us on Wednesday 18 February, 10am-12pm or 1-3pm, for an introduction to letterpress.
You’ll get hands-on experience of the tools, processes and equipment used to make prints with moveable type.
Even in today’s digital practices we use some of the same terms and ideas which were born from this process.
There will be a chance to pull a print and investigate a box of type.
While some activities are not suitable for babies and really young children, we welcome all levels of curiosity and with appropriate supervision, everyone can come along.
Sessions are free and drop-in – no need to book.
This activity is run by the printer Emily Juniper. Emily runs “Utter” & Press, a publishing house who use this form of printing for some of their projects.
