Part of the ‘Inspired Starting Points for Your Novel’ series
Writing has long offered us a space for reflection, resilience and renewal. Jayne Howard is the Founding Director of social enterprise, Arts Well CIC, which places arts and creativity at the centre of health and wellbeing
As well as creative writing and journalling, her own creative pursuits include stitching and crochet, and she has recently started to learn to play the piano and tap dance. She begins this workshop with a brief look at the evidence behind writing for wellbeing, before moving into a series of practical writing exercises. Through prompts and short explorations on the page, you’ll discover how writing can steady the mind and create space for reflection and new perspective. Open to anyone interested in writing for wellbeing, no experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to write
Concessions strictly for: under-18s, full-time students, those in receipt of working-age benefits or Pension Credit
