About this event
Fascinated by Jeff Buckley and impacted by the spells of John Mayer and Radiohead, JEKYLL WOOD is a free electron who transcends genres and draws his inspiration from chill-rock, progressive pop and acoustic electro-folk, at the crossroads of the worlds of Ben Howard, Tamino, Sting or Half Moon Run…
A virtuoso guitarist and refined melodist, the Tourangeau songwriter takes us on a sophisticated and elegant interior road trip, sweeping across the whole spectrum of indie music.
But he never shies away from one vision: that of an artist who seems to travel through musical strata, from the oldest to the most recent, from the most visceral to the most avant-garde.
The result is songs that are accessible, demanding and ultra-melodic, as if they were cleverly and skilfully blurring the sometimes artificial divide between underground and mainstream.
After more than 400 concerts in France, Switzerland and England, including support slots for Lenny Kravitz, Shaka Ponk and Keziah Jones, his tour will resume in 2025, with live performances of tracks from his 3 EPs “Smokescreen”, “Blinding Fog” and “Away from the clouds” in anticipation of the final album from this trilogy, featuring several collaborations including a sublime duet with Heather Nova.
