About this event
A great proponent of creative non-fiction, Jenny Alexander writes a regular column entitled ‘Real Life, Great Stories’ for Writing Magazine and her book, Writing in the House of Dreams, is a modern mash-up of three different creative non-fiction forms: essay, themed memoir and practical workbook. There are many different kinds of life experiences and many different ways of writing about them. In this workshop, Jenny gives you the chance to experiment with different forms of creative non-fiction, from narrative and prose poems through to personal and lyric essays. As well as creating new work, these writing adventures will help you find new subjects, styles and voices you might bring to your own more-traditional memoir writing.
