About this event
Jim Carey is a painter, musician, composer and theatre worker. He studied Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art from 1977 to 1981 and settled in Cornwall in 1982. He has been inspired by the Cornish and French landscapes and has produced many paintings over the years of an impressionistic nature.
In his more recent paintings, Jim explores more structural and geometric forms and the work has become more abstract with greater experimentation with colour. He works mostly with oil paint.
The exhibition at Workshop Gallery, 60 Adalaide Street, Penzance. TR18 2ES will run from Sat 28th May – Sat 9th July
