About this event

Jim makes paintings mostly in oils inspired by the natural world and immediate surroundings.

Jim Carey is a painter, musician, composer and theatre worker.
Jim studied Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art from 1977-1981 He settled in Cornwall in 1982. He has been inspired by the Cornish and French landscape and has produced many paintings over the years of an impressionistic nature. In his more recent paintings Jim explores more structural and geometric forms and the work has become more abstract with greater experimentation with colour. He works mostly with oil paint.
