Jim Ghedi’s new album “Wasteland” marks a bold evolution in his sound, blending folk foundations with electric guitars, huge drums, and sweeping arrangements. This ambitious work explores themes of environmental collapse, personal loss, and finding solace in nature’s resilience.

Working with producer David Glover at Tesla Studios Sheffield, Ghedi has assembled an impressive roster of collaborators including members of Lankum, Landless, and Cinder Well. This two-year project represents his most sonically adventurous work to date, pushing the boundaries of folk music into new territory.

Expect an evening of intense, brooding soundscapes that soar from intimate moments to apocalyptic heights. With his expanded vocal range and new electric approach, Ghedi delivers a performance that captures both personal struggles and broader societal collapse while finding beauty in the wreckage.
