John McWilliams reads his illustrated children's book, 'The Good Ship True Love'

John McWilliams visits St Ives Library for National Storytelling Week to read his beautifully illustrated children’s book, ‘The Good Ship True Love’ and share the true story behind it.

This is the true story of Mr Ellis and the boat he built in his Cornish back yard in 1906. He was old, poor and alone and built it from old planks and orange boxes. This illustrated volume is a classic true Cornish tale.

Free event, booking required. Please book a ticket for all children & parents that will be attending so that we know how many to expect! Suggested age range for the story is 5-11 years, however all are welcome.
