Gaskell’s music has aged like a fine can of lager since he first appeared in Cornwall’s crusty-klezmer scene of the early noughties, and with his versatile and virtuosic bandmates, he is still capable of banging out the bulgars, waltzes and skiffling protest anthems with a gusto that would rival any of the current hit paraders.
