The trees of the Forest of Moresk still pocket the hills where the famous tale of Tristan and Isolde was born. Here is the Church of St Clement, built by the side of the Tresillian River that flows to the Fal Estuary and out to the open sea.
The C13 church stands on a mound, probably part of a chain of fortified enclosures, more that 2000 years old, stretching up the Fal and Tresillian valleys, connecting routes inland to the mines of Cornwall.
The Lychgate Studio has been an Art Studio for the last nine years, providing a peaceful and uplifting workspace in the evocative haven of St Clement.

Steps up to the Lychgate Studio
Directions
From the Truro Trafalgar Roundabout take the turning up St Clements Hill, with Dominos on your right as you turn up the hill. At the top of the hill take the right hand turning marked St Clement Church. Park at the public toilets or by the river.
