About this event
Katrina Naomi’s new collection Battery Rocks is a meditation on nature, risk, swimming and the sea. Katrina captures the ebb and flow of existence and the excitement of swimming in these sparkling poems. Poems like ‘And if there were no sea?’ recognise both the power and danger of the sea, as well as all that would be lost if it didn’t exist.
Not only did the collection win the Arthur Welton Award from the Society of Authors, but the poem “in the kelp forest” won the Keats-Shelley Prize for Poetry.
