Ken Gills work always allows something or somewhere to reveal itself further: the work on show at Jupiter Gallery is a survey of how Gill ‘re-presents’- how he offers something up for the viewer to look at a little longer and thus lets it gently disclose its beauty. His is a tender process that honors materials and their role in helping make the invisible visible. Prof Jan Richardson writes of Gill ‘his work, whether in painting, drawing, frottage, sculpture, embodies extended moments of meditation’. In this age of speed and immediacy, this slow art is a radical act of resistance.
