About this event
Bodmin Folk Club are thrilled to have KESSENYAN for an evening of song. They are a young trio of friends who share a love of singing.
They say: “As a trio we have been singing now for just over a year. It all started because I wanted to form a singing group that was completely made up of young people. So I gathered together Olly and Ruby and we started up Kessenyan. One of our first outings was to Bodmin Folk Club and from there it has boomed. We have performed at Mel Babb’s shanty session at the Countryman in Piece, The Tall Ships Festival in Falmouth, Mevagissey Shanty Festival, Lowender Peran Festival, Kehelland Apple Day, a new year Ceilidh with Krelys, The Lady Daphne in Charlestown, and every last Sunday at the month we sing at the Countryman. Kessenyan means harmony in Cornish and the three of us love singing together and having fun!”
