About this event
A mix of media, including painting, photography, textile and film from emerging, rural artists across Devon and Cornwall. KIN explores the visible and invisible threads that connect artists working at a distance from one another, and away from urban centres. Each artist explores the concept of Kinship from their individual perspectives.
KIN explores the visible and invisible threads that connect artists working both at a distance from one another, and from art communities in urban centres across the UK. Through painting, installation, moving image, sound, sculpture, and mixed media, the exhibition reveals how shared experiences, challenges, and creative impulses weave together to form a distinctive creative network that reflects the realities of rural living in current times.
