About this event
99p Films presents ‘Kiss the Ground’ on Sunday 24 September at the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth – an incredible feature documentary all about SOIL! Where activists, scientists, farmers, and politicians turn to regenerative agriculture to save the planet’s topsoil, and combat climate change.
Join us for a participatory screening experience where we explore the superpowers of soil, following our signature curation of Breathe – Watch – Discuss – Eat:
5pm – 7:30pm
Breathe – With a mindful breathing exercise before the screening, settling our minds and connecting us through one singular breath.
Watch – Enjoying an inspiring and educational feature length doc discovering the power soil has and changing our perception on carbon.
Discuss – Followed by a social discussion where we’ve got some great talking points to get our audience socialising and chatting to one another making connections and hearing alternative perspectives from those in their community.
7:30pm – 9ish
Eat – Culminating in a communal feast where we’ll eat part of the solution with all the fresh produce sourced from local Cornish farms supporting farmers who value their soil and grow in sustainable ways. We’ll also be accompanied by the soothing sounds of an instrumental jazz band during our feast.
Tickets available at 99pfilms.com
We look forward to breathing, watching, discussing and eating with you all!
