Kizamba is Cornwall’s premier Latin & Afro-Caribbean good vibes band, formed in the summer of 2021 by six talented musicians living in West Cornwall who came together through a mutual love of Afro-Caribbean beats and sounds.

The band aims to take the audience on a musical journey through South and Central America, the Caribbean islands and up into the Latin neighbourhoods of North America where Latin rhythms met jazz and soul. Their setlist is an intoxicating mixture of high-energy Afro- Cuban salsa, Colombian cumbia, Latin jazz, boogaloo, bachata, Brazilian samba, bossa nova, famous reggae, calypso and soca tunes that will get everyone singing along. Their music is pure tropical sunshine and guaranteed to get people on the dancefloor – smiling and dancing!

After a busy year on the Cornish gig circuit they have cultivated a loyal following in the salsa community and have drawn large crowds of music lovers at festivals like Golowan, Tropical Pressure and Rock Oyster.

Kizamba are thrilled to be returning to Penlee Park Open Air Theatre for the second year in a row, after an unforgettable evening last summer!
