About this event
Steve and I welcome you to our rural studio at Lower Norton farm, a hop, skip and jump away from our forever home, near the leafy village of Stoke Climsland. Surrounded by green fields, bounded by ancient woodland.
You will find us in our newly converted studio, amidst various projects, both finished and unfinished. Lots for sale, including canvas art, pallet wood wall art, 3D shadow box miniatures, etc. There will be plenty of pallet wood hand painted wall hangings to suit all budgets.
The woodwork side of proceedings is Steve’s department, being the back half of the substantial converted kennel block, my art studio being in the front half. Whilst most of our work is commission based, we also enjoy sales on Facebook, Etsy, and various craft markets, etc from time to time.
We work as a team, Steve sources unwanted quality pallets (we’re picky!) and drags them back to the lair!
Here they get processed – pulled apart, denailed, trimmed, sanded, put together with screws and glue, back braced, then handed to me as blank hangings for the artwork and finishing, to include a satin varnish, hangings on the back ready to pop on the wall, and our signature branding on the reverse.
We have taken many commissions and sold hundreds of our niche wall art over the last few years, which can be seen with a quick peek at our Facebook page.
Feel free to wander the studio at your leisure, with a complimentary drink in one hand, and a piece of free cake in the other! No obligation to buy, just come and see what we’re up to, we love a chat! A little orderly, a little chaotic, that’s us! A real working studio…
And, whilst we’re not open to the public, visitors both old and new are always welcome by appointment.
On Facebook, we can be found under Steve and Kym’s Upcycled Pallets, and I can be found under Kymspiration for canvas art and other random projects!.
My style is pretty eclectic, I’m always drawn to nature for inspiration, but my art takes many forms!
