About this event
Inspired by maps, diaries and letters from afar, make a colourful lantern from rainbow wax paper!
On Tuesday 29 October, 10am-12pm, come and learn about brave Cornish people who travelled around the world and illustrate their story on a lantern. Cut out shapes of ships, moons and stars, or decorate the lantern with a beautiful drawing.
This fun, free, family-friendly activity is for all ages, there’s no need to book, just drop in! Lantern voyages is also on Saturday 2 November 2024, 10am-12pm and 1-3pm.
This activity is inspired by our current exhibition ‘Cornish Connections’ that explores mining and telegraphy in Africa and international students who studied engineering in Cornwall!
