Visit Lavethan Garden on Sunday 11th August where you will find a fascinating ancient Cornish Manor House overlooking a quiet wooded valley, enclosed court yard and mixed planting borders.
There is also a recently discovered Victorian dell garden with springs, grotto, ancient well, Celtic crosses and fine trees. You can then follow the wilder walks down the field to a leat and tributary of the River Camel.
Sturdy footwear recommended.
Dogs strictly on leads welcome.
Refreshments will be available (all proceeds to CHSW)
There will also be light musical entertainment in the garden (weather permitting).
Directions – Approach Blisland from the A30 and drive through the village with the church on your left. Turn down the narrow lane towards Merrymeeting, and after a quarter of a mile turn left into the driveway through two stone gateposts. Parking will be signposted.
