About this event
Join us for this fun and hands-on invention session designed to tackle one of the biggest problems facing our marine life; Ocean Pollution.
This engaging and inspiring workshop looks at the problem of plastic pollution in our ocean and what people around the world (and in Bude) are doing about it! We will look at the weird, wonderful, and wacky inventions that are helping to clean up the ocean and see how grassroots movements can make a huge difference.
Then, build your very own clean-up prototype using a reel, sweep or grab mechanism (or any other design you can think of) and test it on micro-plastics and plastic pollution found on Bude’s beaches. What will you create?
The workshop is split into three sessions, please make a note of the time slot you have registered for.
This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Community Renewal Fund in Cornwall.
